Lucky for us Lance Winn ('70) and his wife Barbara Wesler Winn ('73) came back to the Valley to celebrate Lance's Mother's 91st birthday. Â While they were here Tom Boyd put together a Happy Hour gathering at Spokes in Tempe. Â It was a fun crowd and a good time was had by all!
A few of our 1970 classmates got together to share some drinks and birthday cake. Â After all, this was a milestone birthday for us. Â Always a fun time.
Friday Night was filled with school tours, BBQ, Cheer/Dance/Pom Reunion, Alumni Football Coaches and Players, Homecoming King and Queen, past and present, and lots of fun.
More than 100 firefighters, policemen and community members gathered in Ed Gaicki Park in Tempe to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Ed's death. Â It was a larger crowd than they had expected and many of his classmates from McClintock High were there to honor Ed and remember what an great man he was. Â
Kathie Wennes Taitano lives in Hawaii on the island of Oahu so it isn't often she comes to the Mainland to visit. Â La Verne Abe Harris graciously opened her home to our classmates so we could have the chance to visit with Kathie and others. Â It was a cold rainy Monday, December 14th but the food was yummy and the company was warm and friendly. Â And there were plenty of hugs to keep warm. Â I...
We held our semi-annual gathering on Monday December 26th. Â Over 70 people were in attendance including six faculty/staff; David Short, Bill Cox, Eldon Smith, Judy Mulcahey Reinhard, Lana Stormant and Dean Todd with his wife Anita. Â Because it was after the Christmas holiday we also saw some out-of-town classmates like Wendy Harkins Hendrickson and Mary Beth McBroom Wagner.
